The uMfolozi Municipality, led by the Honourable Mayor Councillor Xolani Bhengu, convened the final council meeting for the 2024/25 financial year on Thursday, 26 June 2025.
During the meeting, policies from various municipal departments were discussed and adopted for implementation in the new 2025/26 financial year. Emphasis was placed on the need to orient and educate councillors on these policies to ensure a clear understanding.
Prior to the meeting, Regent Business School delivered a presentation on its academic programmes and the registration process. The Chairperson of the meeting, Speaker Councillor Mkhangezeni Mthiyane, encouraged councillors to further their education and enhance their skills. He also stressed the importance of attending all meetings, including committee meetings and council sessions.
