THE ROLE OF FINANCIAL SERVICES

The Finance Department is mainly responsible for legal and sound financial management through:
  • Render support services to other departments
  • Annual budget process
  • Annual financial statements
  • Credit control and debt collection
  • Supply chain management
  • Ensure compliance with MFMA
  • Develop and implement sound financial policies and procedures
  • Insurance management
  • Investment management
  • Expenditure management
  • Maintain a GRAP compliant asset register

The Financial Services Directorate comprises the following sections:
