Siyabonga Sangweni Youth Festival and Mayoral Sports Day Event

The Siyabonga Sangweni Sports Tournament held at the KwaDondotha sports field in uMfolozi was a huge success. The three-day sporting fiesta, which took place from 7 July 19 June – 9 July 2017, saw teams across the area of King Cetshwayo District Municipality and uMfolozi battle it out for the title of being called the champions in chess, boxing soccer, netball, Induku and Mountain Climbing.

Asanda Mbuyazi Laid to Rest in uMfolozi

The devastated family of Asanda Mbuyazi a young mother with albinism laid her to rest on Friday, 2 June 2017 at Ndlabeyilandula, Ward 4 in uMfolozi Municipality. The body of  Mbuyazi was found stripped naked in the bushes near her home stabbed 20 times by her boyfriend.

The uMfolozi Municipality in partnership with private businesses donated computers to the Khayalethemba Community Centre on Monday 19 December in ward 5. The donation of the computers was as a result of the uMfolozi Municipality’s programme of providing skills upliftment within the community with the help of the business community in order to fully tackle unemployment.
